Meet the DCP team.

Managing Director
Matt Lynch is a Managing Director of District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Matt led Corporate Development at Blackboard, where he managed the successful completion and integration of 9 acquisitions, as well as Blackboard's sale process and $1.7 billion take-private transaction in 2011.
Matt began his career at Salomon Smith Barney (now Citi), advising on M&A transactions in the technology sector, with a specific focus on software. Over the course of his 11 years at Citi, Matt advised on over $300 billion of M&A transactions, including Xerox/ACS, Hewlett-Packard/EDS, Oracle/PeopleSoft, Hewlett-Packard/Compaq, Alcatel/Lucent and AOL/Time Warner.
Matt has a degree in Finance from the University of Illinois.
When not at DCP, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, honing his negotiation skills with his three sons (particularly at bedtime) and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If he weren’t at DCP, Matt would be a volunteer roadie for Bruce Springsteen.
Matt Lynch

Managing Director
Tom Bell is a Managing Director at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Tom was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Millennial Media (NASDAQ:MM), where he led the successful acquisition of multiple companies in the Mobile Advertising market.
Prior to Millennial Media, Tom was Vice President of Corporate Development at Verisign (NASDAQ:VRSN), where he led over 30 strategic transactions with total consideration of nearly $1.8B. Tom led multiple acquisitions in support of Verisign operating units in the Internet Security and Cloud Infrastructure markets. In addition, Tom co-led a company-wide divestiture program which resulted in the sale of 10 operating units, including the divestiture of the Verisign Security Services business to Symantec. Tom also led and managed multiple acquisition integration and divestiture separation processes.
Tom started his career as a financial analyst and commercial lending officer for Citizens Bank.
Tom has a degree in Business/Economics and French from Wheaton College and an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
When not at DCP, Tom enjoys spending time with his two daughters (mostly spent driving to ballet practices and soccer games) and rooting for the New England Patriots.
If he weren’t at DCP, Tom would be guiding fly fishing trips in Montana.
Tom Bell

Managing Director
Caitlin Sullivan Currier is a Managing Director at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Caitlin was a Business Analyst at Blackboard, where she coordinated finance and operations for Blackboard’s Education Services business.
Caitlin began her career at FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance practice. In her four years at FTI, her advisory experience included bankruptcy and performance improvement. She worked across a wide variety of industries, including direct marketing, commercial and residential real estate, radio, and newspapers.
Caitlin has a degree in Finance from the University of Georgia.
When not at DCP, Caitlin enjoys traveling with her family, sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, and chasing her toddler around all of the DC parks and playgrounds.
If she weren’t at DCP, Caitlin would move to Ireland and open a bed and breakfast with her family.
Caitlin Currier

Managing Director, Operations
Midhat Pawlak is Managing Director, Operations at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Midhat was Partner, Investor Relations at ACON Investments where she led the firm’s investor relations, marketing and public relations. In addition, Midhat managed various internal operations and administrative activities of the firm.
Prior to joining ACON, Midhat was a Director with the Investment Banking Group at Stifel, Nicolaus & Company where she was responsible for sourcing and executing M&A advisory and underwriting transactions. Before Stifel, Midhat also held Investment Banking positions with FBR Capital Markets in its Energy and Technology Investment Banking Groups. Prior to FBR, Midhat was an Analyst in Citigroup’s Technology Investment Banking Group. Midhat began her career in Salomon Smith Barney’s Asset Management division.
Midhat has a degree in Economics from The College of William & Mary.
When not at DCP, Midhat enjoys spending time with her family and friends and catching up on the latest TV shows.
If she weren’t at DCP, Midhat would run a mother/daughter competitor to The Home Edit.
Midhat Pawlak

Managing Director
Marty Schnider is a Managing Director at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Marty was a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Credit Suisse. During his five years at Credit Suisse, Marty advised on over $95 billion of M&A transactions including the Praxair/Linde, Vantiv/Worldpay and Zimmer/Biomet mergers as well as the extensive regulatory divestiture processes related to the Bayer/Monsanto and Praxair/Linde transactions.
Marty has an MBA from Darden School of Business at University of Virginia and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland with a degree in Economics. Marty is also a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Institute.
When not at DCP, Marty enjoys spending time with his wife and son, skiing, and rock climbing.
If he weren’t at DCP, Marty would be unsuccessfully attempting to climb Annapurna.
Marty Schnider

Director
Rachel McMillin is a Director at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Rachel was a Private Equity Associate at LNC Partners, where her primary responsibilities included analyzing and executing new investments as well as monitoring portfolio companies.
Rachel began her career as a Financial Analyst at KippsDeSanto & Co., where she focused on executing middle-market M&A transactions for government technology solutions and aerospace and defense firms.
Rachel has a degree in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar.
When not at DCP, Rachel enjoys traveling, baking, and watching UVA basketball.
If she weren't at DCP, Rachel would open a combination dog rescue/yoga studio in Boulder, CO.
Rachel McMillin

Director
Geoff Schrager is a Director at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Geoff was an independent Investment Professional and Consultant, where he provided his private equity clients with investment evaluation, due diligence, deal execution, and portfolio management services. Representative clients included Waterfall Asset Management and Next Edge Capital.
Prior, Geoff was an Investment Banker at Houlihan Lokey, where he advised financial institution and financial technology clients on M&A, capital raising, and restructuring transactions. Before Houlihan Lokey, Geoff worked at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for the underwriting and risk management of structured credit facilities to specialty finance companies.
Geoff began his career in management consulting at DRT Strategies and BearingPoint. Geoff graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a degree in Finance.
When not at DCP, Geoff enjoys spending time with his wife and Bernese Mountain Dog, playing squash, golfing, and cooking barbeque feasts.
If he weren’t at DCP, Geoff would be an astronomer at the Keck Observatory in Hawaii.
Geoff Schrager

Vice President
Steven Grillo is a Vice President at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Steven was a Corporate Development Senior Analyst at W.R. Grace & Co. (NYSE:GRA), where his primary responsibilities included evaluating and executing acquisitions of companies in the Specialty Chemicals market.
Steven began his career in KPMG LLP’s Economic and Valuation Service practice, where he focused on financial reporting and tax-related business enterprise and intangible asset valuations for Fortune 500 clients.
Steven has degrees in both Finance and Bioengineering from Lehigh University. He is also a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.
When not at DCP, Steven enjoys cooking, reality TV, and learning random facts on Wikipedia.
If he weren’t at DCP, Steven would be the host of his own instructional cooking show in East Hampton, NY.
Steven Grillo

Vice President
Nathan Yeh is a Vice President at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Nate was an Investment Banking Analyst at Wells Fargo Securities in the High Grade Debt Capital Markets group, where he participated in the origination and execution of debt and debt-like issuances.
Nate has a degree in Finance from the University of Maryland College Park. Nate is also a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.
When not at DCP, Nate enjoys practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and eating his way through Washington, DC.
If he weren’t at DCP, Nate would host his own show for reviewing street food around the world.
Nathan Yeh

Associate
Justin Allen is an Associate at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP in 2020, Justin was a Summer Private Equity Analyst at LLR Partners covering middle-market healthcare growth equity opportunities.
Justin has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from The University of Virginia.
When not at DCP, Justin enjoys fishing, exercising, traveling, and supporting Chicago sports teams.
If he weren’t at DCP, Justin would be a professional food critic.
Justin Allen

Associate
Dan Gaeto is an Associate at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Dan was a Strategic Finance Manager at The St. James, a developer of luxury sports and fitness complexes, where he directly supported the Co-CEOs across corporate development, strategic planning, and investor relations.
Prior to The St. James, Dan was a consultant within Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice.
Dan has a degree in Economics from The Catholic University of America.
When not at DCP, Dan likes to lift weights, spend time with friends and family, and explore DC’s restaurant and bar scene.
If he weren’t at DCP, Dan would open a coffee shop.
Dan Gaeto

Associate
Ian Pollekoff is an Associate at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Ian was a Valuations Analyst at Lincoln International, where he focused on valuing illiquid debt, equity, and other complex securities for private equity firms, hedge funds, and other investment managers across multiple industries. In addition, Ian worked on fairness and solvency opinions for leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, and recapitalizations.
Ian has a degree in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting from the University of Michigan. Ian is also a licensed CPA.
When not at DCP, Ian enjoys traveling, cheering for Washington, DC sports teams, and playing golf.
If he weren’t at DCP, Ian would be a ski instructor in Colorado.
Ian Pollekoff

Associate
Matt Sgro is an Associate at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Matt was an Analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, where he was a member of the Healthcare Investment Banking Credit Group.
Matt has a degree in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University, where he also played football for the Generals.
When not at DCP, Matt enjoys playing pick-up basketball, skiing, spending time in Lewes, D.E. with his family, and rooting for Philly sports teams.
If he weren’t at DCP, Matt would be working on a fishing boat on the Amalfi Coast.

Jay Choi is a Senior Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2021, Jay was a Summer Analyst with the firm.
Jay has a degree in Economics and Computer Science from Washington and Lee University, where he was a Johnson Scholar.
When not at DCP, Jay enjoys playing pick-up soccer or tennis, traveling, spending time with his family, and cheering for New York sports teams.

Jay Choi

Senior Analyst
Thomas Dustira is a Senior Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2021, Thomas was a Summer Analyst with the firm.
Thomas has a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Statistics from Georgetown University.
When not at DCP, Thomas enjoys exploring DC on morning runs, skiing the Green Mountains, and taking trips to Philly to visit his sister.
If he weren’t at DCP, Thomas would be working to restore classic cars.
Thomas Dustira

Senior Analyst
AJ Lotsis is a Senior Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP in 2021, AJ was a Summer Private Equity Analyst at Seminal Capital Partners, covering lower middle-market cloud-based software companies.
AJ has both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Finance from Georgetown University, where he was also a captain of the Varsity Baseball team.
When not at DCP, AJ enjoys spending time with friends and family, saltwater fishing, trying new restaurants, and cheering for Philly sports teams.
If he weren’t at DCP, AJ would start a baseball training facility for underprivileged kids.
AJ Lotsis

Senior Analyst
Krish Mirchandani is a Senior Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Krish was a Valuation Supervisor at RSM where he worked on the analysis of debt and equity investments for multiple funds across various industries.
Krish has a degree in Finance and Management Information Systems from Binghamton University.
When not at DCP, Krish enjoys staying active through strength training and pick-up basketball.
If he weren't at DCP, Krish would either be volunteering his time teaching children with special needs or pursuing a career in gemology.
Krish Mirchandani

Marco Ahluwalia is an Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2022, Marco was a Summer Analyst with the firm.
Marco has a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Illinois, where he was a James and Gies Scholar.

Tom Manning

Analyst
CJ Arena is an Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2022, CJ was a Summer Analyst with the firm for two years.
CJ has Bachelor’s degrees in Applied Mathematics and Economics and a Master’s degree in Finance from Johns Hopkins University, where he was an All-American swimmer and chief of staff at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health, and the Study of Business Enterprise.
When not at DCP, CJ enjoys reading, playing poker, exploring new restaurants and breweries, and cheering on the New York Yankees.
If he weren’t at DCP, CJ would be a beach lifeguard near his hometown on Long Island, NY.

Lauren Kelly is an Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2021, Lauren was a Summer Analyst for the firm for two consecutive years.
Lauren has a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business.

Dong-Woo Seo is an Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2022, Dong-Woo was a Summer Analyst with the firm and an intern at Knollwood Investment Advisory.
Dong-Woo has degrees in Chemical Engineering and Economics from Johns Hopkins University.

Andy Wang is an Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2022, Andy was a Summer Analyst with the firm and had previous experience in lower middle-market real state private equity.
Andy has a degree in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he also founded the University’s Private Equity and Venture Capital Club.

Andy Wang

Colin Doherty is an Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2023, Colin was a Summer Analyst with the firm and had previous experience in middle-market private equity and mezzanine debt at Advantage Capital Partners.
Colin has a degree in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown, where he helped direct Education and the Industrials and Renewables Group for Georgetown University Student Investment Fund (GUSIF).
When not at DCP, Colin enjoys watching baseball, playing guitar, and cooking.

Colin Doherty

Trang "TJ" Nguyen is an Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2023, Trang was a Summer Analyst with the firm.
Trang has a degree in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University with a concentration in Statistical Programming.

Adam Shatzman is an Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2023, Adam was a Summer Analyst with the firm and had previous experience in lower middle-market private equity at NextGen Growth Partners.
Adam has degrees in Finance and Real Estate from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business. At Kelley, Adam co-founded the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club.

Adam Shatzman

Analyst
Emma Smith is an Analyst at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP full-time in 2023, Emma was a Summer Analyst with the firm.
Emma has a degree in Business Administration and American Politics from Washington and Lee University.

Emma Smith

Controller
Tom Adams is the Controller at District Capital Partners. Prior to joining DCP, Tom was Senior Director of Development Operations for the American Red Cross and Director of Finance for the Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia.
Tom began his accounting career at Sallie Mae and worked in many accounting roles including Controller and Director of Accounting Operations. While at Sallie Mae, Tom eventually became Vice President of Loan Originations and Servicing, managing $20 billion in annual loan disbursements and servicing a $190 billion loan portfolio.
Tom has a degree in Accounting from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a certificate in Executive Management from George Washington University.
When not at DCP, Tom enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and dogs.
If he weren’t at DCP, Tom would open a kennel and raise thoroughbred dogs.
